We recently volunteered to work with Morrisons supermarket in a very worthy cause. Morrisons have set themselves a target to raise £10m by November 2024 to support the  charity Together For Short Lives.

Together for Short Lives is the only charity supporting the UK’s 54 children’s hospices and families facing the heartbreak that their child will die young. It supports 99,000 families in the UK as well as the children’s hospices that provide them with vital care.

Each Morrisons store has been twinned with a children’s hospice close to them. The money raised will give families access to vital care from local children’s hospices and help them to spend less time worrying and more time making memories together.

The charity’s symbol, a colourful butterfly has been making its way around the country and lots of money has been raised already for Together For Short Lives.  The butterfly will be in the Arbroath Morrisons on Wednesday 16th August and they will have a few fundraisers happening in the store during the week running up to this.

The store appealed for an interesting and unusual way to transport the butterfly to Morrisons in Dundee on 16th August, and we were happy to suggest one of our trikes with driver! We will be leaving Arbroath at 5pm on 16th August on our way to Dundee, so give us a wave and a donation!
